Moving Checklists

Make sure your move is a success

We help tenants to move in and out of properties every day. As part of the process, there are several common questions we receive. To simplify things for you, we've created these checklists to answer some of those questions. If you still need help after reading through the information below, please contact us: 813-964-3833

Move-in Checklist

First Month's Rent & Security Deposit

Your first month's rent payment and your security deposit both must be paid to secure your rental home.

Move-in Date & Inspection

The move-in date and initial inspection information will be provided at the lease signing.

Utilities

You are responsible for keeping your utility accounts current throughout the duration of your lease. Please be sure to contact the relevant companies immediately following the lease signing to avoid losing access to your utilities.

Move-out Checklist

Notice of Intent to Vacate

Planning to move out of your rental home? Please refer to the terms outlined in your lease to determine your legal move-out date. We ask you to please provide us with written notification of your intent to vacate the premises.

Property Condition

Your rental needs to be brought back to its original rental condition before you hand in the keys. This includes taking care of the following:

  • Cleaning: Please carefully clean the property, removing all of your belongings from the home. Go room to room, wiping down hard surfaces and vacuuming/sweeping/mopping the floors. Please be sure to sanitize the kitchen and bathroom(s).
  • Landscaping: If you typically take care of landscaping chores like mowing, please do this once more before moving. You should also replace any burnt lightbulbs outside.
  • Repairs: If damage occurred during your stay, please take the necessary measures to repair such damages. This may include painting discolored areas, patching nail and screw holes, and replacing broken glass.

Security Deposit

The security deposit paid at the outset of your lease is used as a safeguard against damages and unpaid fees. Please note, you cannot use the deposit to pay for your final rent bill.
